A New School Year Begins!
Welcome back! September has arrived, and a new school year is getting underway. Whether you’re walking into an elementary school classroom, starting another year of high school, or heading onto a college or university campus, this month brings a fresh beginning.
A new school year can come with plenty of excitement, but it can bring some nerves too. You might have new teachers, classmates, courses, schedules, or responsibilities to get used to. Try not to put too much pressure on yourself to have everything figured out during the first few days. Give yourself time to settle in, ask for help when you need it, and start building routines that you can maintain throughout the year.
September is a good opportunity to think about what you want this school year to look like. Your goals don’t have to be huge. Maybe you want to improve in a subject you found difficult last year, make a new friend, join a club, become more organized, explore possible careers, or simply find a better balance between school and everything else in your life. Small goals can add up to a very different school year by the time June arrives.
